Sam Wallace

Managing Director

Sam established Soho in 2017, with the intention of focusing on innovative and sustainable public housing for New Zealand. With a background in law, property development, and asset management Sam is passionate about delivering optimal tenant outcomes through design-led housing solutions. Sam leads our team, developments, and asset management and is the key liaison for the housing providers we work with.

 

Brad Davis

General Manager - Deals, Acquisitions & Partnerships

Brad works closely alongside Soho's key clients and stakeholders to identify and develop housing opportunities across New Zealand. He is passionate about unlocking innovative solutions in affordable and public housing sectors. Prior to joining us, Brad practiced law, and he is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day legal operations of Soho Group. Brad has an LLB/BCom form Otago University and a LL.M(Hons) form Northwestern University. 

 

Ben Noone

General Manager - Project Delivery

Ben is responsible for leading the delivery of our projects from design to civil and vertical construction.  Ben brings robust construction and development experience, value engineering and sharp commercial nous.  Prior to working with us, he had a varied background; an apprentice carpenter, becoming BCITO qualified, and then working in numerous roles across Fletcher Building Group.  Ben has a BCom from Otago university and MBA from Auckland University.   

 

Emma Jackson

Operations Manager

Bringing a background in multi-national operational support gained across the UK, Ireland and New Zealand, Emma is a member of Soho’s Senior Leadership Team and leads our day-to-day business operations. She heads our portfolio management team, brand and communications, people and culture, and coordinates business development initiatives. Emma has studied Project Management (New Zealand) and Personnel Practice (UK). 

 

Dan Jackson

Senior Project Manager - Vertical Build

Dan joined Soho in 2020, and has been integral to the delivery of our completed projects. Dan brings extensive construction and development experience from the commercial and residential sectors in New Zealand and Australia and manages the delivery of our most complex build projects. Dan is a qualified builder under the BCITO, Licensed Building Practitioner, and Homestar Practitioner.

 

Lynn Ho

Quantity Surveyor & Contracts Manager

Lynn leads Soho’s quantity surveying and is involved in all financial aspects of our construction projects, from inception to final account settlement.  Lynn is experienced and accustomed to working alongside internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal project outcomes in a fast-paced environment.  

George Grant

Financial Controller

George is a member of Soho’s Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing our finance operations. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Auckland and has spent considerable time in London where he was exposed to a wide variety of roles and industries. More notable assignments include The Football Association, Hamleys, Sage, The Telegraph and World Remit. George enjoys delivering value through commercial insight and problem solving. 

 

Dave Hanlon

Project Manager - Civil Construction

Dave leads our environmental and civil works.  He brings over 20 years of experience in civil construction and complex land development consents, in both the UK and New Zealand. Dave has been a licensed drainage and water reticulation contractor, and has worked in roading, bridging, marine construction, land development, earthquake recovery and rail.

 

Aarathy (Aarya) Pillai

Project Delivery Coordinator

Aarathy plays a key role in our Project Delivery team. With a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (University of Mumbai) and a Diploma in Project Management (NZMA), Aarya brings over 4 years of experience in the industry. Having started as a Junior Project Manager (in asset management, consenting and insurance reinstatement), Aarya is now integral to the pre- to post-construction process - she handles RC conditions, program development, document control, reporting, CCC and RFI closeouts.

Alice Francis

Property Manager

Alice is responsible for the management of our tenanted properties. She maintains key relationships with our Community Housing Provider partners, and takes pride in ensuring that our sites are kept to a high standard. Having spent several years in the real estate industry, she has a passion for property and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. Alice brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every aspect of property management. 

 

Chad Garratt

Project Manager - Vertical Build

Chad joined Soho with a wealth of industry knowledge gained within the group housing sector in both the North and South Island.  Chad has predominantly worked within the residential development sector, in particular subdivisions, high-density and medium-density builds.  Chad is a fully qualified carpenter (BCITO) and a Licensed Building Practitioner.  

 

Michael Daley

Financial Reporting Manager

Michael works closely with George as part of our. finance team to deliver the financial reporting and compliance requirements across Soho Group entities. Prior to Soho, Michael spent 10 years in various audit roles with KPMG and Staples Rodway in Auckland. He then held financial reporting roles with an NZX listed property fund and an ASX listed investment company. He has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Accounting and Finance from Massey University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
